At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 3+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

I brought 2 leveling pets, since one got swapped when I brought it in. Both ended up with a good amount of xp.

Dont get baited like me and use this strat for the achiev to do some pet battle WQ's with all lvl 25

Raindawn

D'oh! I spent a lot of time trying to find the right leveling pet that i wanted, and then i 1-shotted Jammer with a 4116 crit of my Starlette.
Either way, the strat worked quite well :P

Works great. Note that leveling pets now get XP even if they die so you can put any level of pet in that slot.

Jenstar

Works in SL.

VanyaMia

Yeah works fine still.

Kreggy wrote on 2018-11-11 10:43:24

Did this today with my lvl pet in the no 1 slot and my pp starlette in the no 2 slot and got my lvl pet 1080 xp during pet week with no other buffs. Jammer did however use tail slash several times to swap in the lowest health pet. You can start fight with Starlette in first slot and in case the swap doesnt happen, swap your pet after your first wind-up hits but after you have used the first half of the next wind up. Jammer will die but your pet will get decent xp during pet week.

Kangarooblue wrote on 2019-09-26 00:19:34

I found it has to be 3 wind ups, the third gets swapped in for ur lowbie, then wen u return u use the wind up again, he's dead.

Same, I was a little bummed bc I had a level pet lined up :D

BenDoever wrote on 2018-09-27 12:01:13

Not really worth the miniscule XP. 237 with the hat on

Remte

wrote on 2018-09-27 14:28:56

Single pets give less experience on principle, but thank you for providing a detail :-)
EDIT: 8.1 has challenged this a bit! The tamers have had their exp lowered greatly but the loners, not involved, stay as they were.

Glowsome

wrote on 2018-09-29 16:17:52

well its still some XP ( in my case a lvl 7 carry got (with hat) 405xp) .. real goal was the charms, this time it awarded me 19 charms ... otherwise i usually skip single petfights if they dont reward charms

Aeryl wrote on 2018-11-11 10:24:03

These are the fights you use a 24 as a level pet so you don't waste stones.

Olania

wrote on 2018-12-17 08:33:06

Yeah, I usually skip pet dailies in general unless they give some sort of leveling stone or charms. Today there's two that give the stones that grant one level to any pet type, so doing them on each of my 3 120s is equal to 30 easy levels.

TD Script for this strat

ability(Wind-Up:459) [ round=3 ]

a bit tweaked script
ability(Supercharge:208) [ round=2 ]
ability(Wind-Up:459)
change(#2) [ !self(#2).played]
change(#1)

Anonymous wrote on 2018-12-10 14:26:34

Can make it even shorter too;

use(Supercharge:208) [round= 2]
change(#2) [round= 5]
use(Wind-Up:459)

As you don't need to change back to the Starlette due to Tail Smash - just make sure the 3rd pet has more health

Kellers#1946

wrote on 2018-09-30 14:37:15

Tried this strat today with my P/S Iron Starlette, he annihilated Jammer before my level pet even got his shoes on.

Take wrote on 2018-08-30 04:20:17

Swapping isn't really necessary, because Jammer will swap out your leveling pet with Tail Smash, you just have to swap back to your Starlette and finish him with Wind-Up.

For Starlette preferably go with power breeds just to finish it quicker.

416XP with Safari Hat.
I think Level 1 pet is good for leveling, because he won't get hit anyway.

The easiest and simplest strategy for this fight.

Pixels#11570

wrote on 2018-09-30 08:08:32

I have had this occur aswell, but sometimes he doesn't use Tail Smash and you have to swap manually. Thankfully this RNG doesn't affect the outcome of the fight :)

Battlevixen#1262

wrote on 2018-08-30 16:31:35

This only awarded 380 XP for a level 10 pet. I didn't even use my 3rd pet. Not really worth putting a leveling pet in.

Drakuul

wrote on 2018-08-30 17:11:15

Its not worth using a level pet

Gaelyyn

wrote on 2018-09-17 15:02:19

I've got a whole mess of pets that are around 200-300xp away from level 25, this is the perfect fight to nudge them over the top without wasting any from a better leveling fight.

mgx wrote on 2018-08-30 04:56:05

Quick TD Script

change(#1) [!self(#1).active]
ability(Wind-Up) [!self.aura(Wind-Up).exists]
ability(Supercharge)
ability(Wind-Up)

Belatar

wrote on 2018-09-16 09:20:04

my modification to make the script work after level pet came in (starlette might die if supercharge is used after level pet came in). very reliable strat with p/b starlette, low xp though, like all single opponent battles.

change(#1) [!self(#1).active]
ability(Wind-Up) [!self.aura(Wind-Up).exists]
ability(Supercharge) [!self(#2).played]
ability(Wind-Up)

Clarx wrote on 2018-09-15 20:51:56

A Starlette with 272 speed (i.e. P/S) makes this fight difficult and RNG-y
due to having the same base-speed as Jammer

Suddenimpact04

wrote on 2018-09-02 13:38:49

It would be 5 star if there was a TD Script on this but I would also recommend tag this Lox XP. I thought it was worth putting in a level pet because every little bit helps but definitely let the people know.

Celzerias

wrote on 2018-08-30 16:47:17

Iron Starlette strat is great with a P/P breed. Really fast but really poor exp from this fight. It's not even worth swapping in level pets.

Jessail

wrote on 2018-08-30 10:59:37

First attempt at this, my Starlette got annihilated. (P/B breed). Didn't receive any crits, just got knocked to death.

Second attempt, also got crushed. Third attempt (i put in a second Starlette as backup this time), all of a sudden, he is only doing half damage of former fights...and the second windup on my part suddenly did double damage (no crits, at least, no yellow numbers). What the heck is going on...lol
