I tried this team as well as the other magic team and the fight ends every time with the moth at full health. Like Thaliana, I never get off a second tactic from my #1 slot pet against the moth.

My experience is similar to others before. My (H/P) Wyrmling is left with 92 HP when it should be dead according to the strat. Then, swapping Abyssius in manually fails because Abyssius is too low to survine the Arcane Explosion it walks into.

That 92HP is more than the difference between a H/P and a B/B or P/B, so I can't from my own experience rule out the possibility that P/B or B/B might work, but I don't see how a H/P or H/B could possibly work unless Merayl gets a (lucky?) crit on the Wyrmling at some point that is just enough to remove that much health while still allowing it to bring the Helpful Spirit to zero in R9.

Start with sharptalon 1,1,1 gets thru first 2 pets. Used arcane gorger 2,1,1 and arcane eye 1,2,2 as 2/3 pets. Arcane eye soaked a sleep and stun and died. Drain power and mana surge finished off the moth barely. Abyssius/mana wyrmling doesn't seem to work.

for people with the mana wyrmling that refuses to die i had the same problem. So what I did was instead of having abyssius crush to kill breezy book, i swapped in the wyrmling, then passed so that breezy book got one more attack in and then died to the dot from scorched earth. This brought me down enough to continue the strat and ensured that I died from the curse of doom so that I could start against the moth already in meteor. hope that helps someone

I flew to Netherstorm, spent more than 300g buying mana wyrmlings until I got the P/B breed, spent a ton of pet charms to get it to rare quality and level 25, then went back to Azsuna and tried this strat about 20 times before I gave up. It does not work.

I had 0 issues with this though its noteworthy my mana wyrmling was a P/B breed, it might be a breed specific strat.

I agree with Thaliana and Ulwyn. This strat doesn't work. Abyssius just wrecks Breezy Book but after that it all just goes downhill. My Mana Wyrmling never dies and even swapping him out for Abyssius doesn't work as Abyssius gets too low in health to get off the opening Meteor Strike against the Delicate Moth. The back line pets are just taking too much damage from the repeated Arcane Explosions for this to ever work. Syd the Squid, as suggested by Ulwyn, didn't work for me either for pretty much the same reasons. While the Bubble worked pretty good, he didn't last long enough to take down the Moth who then killed my Falcosaur with one shot. I swapped out Syd/Mana Wyrmling for an Empyreal Manafiend (1-2-2) and used Ulwyn's strategy up to the point where Abyssius dies. Swapped in the Manafiend and used Prismatic Barrier, then Arcane Blast and Surge of Power to bring down the Delicate Moth. Admitedly, there is a bit of RNG danger involved. Abyssius' Crush has a range and if he consistently hits on the low side he won't take down the Helpful Spirit soon enough and the Delicate Moth's Moth Dust has a 25% chance to put your pets to sleep; both of which can cause a wipe, but this is the strategy that finally worked for me.

This method did not work after multiple attempts. Same as Thaliana. I subbed Mana Wyrmling with Syd the Squid (1,1,1). Abyssius-Scorched Earth, Meteor Strike, Crush-Breezy Book dies, Helpful Spirit comes in, Crush x3, Meteor-Abyssius and Helpful Spirit dies then Helpful Spirit resurrects, Bring in Syd the Squid-Bubble-Helpful Spirit dies, Delicate Moth comes in, Whirlpool, Water Jet until Delicate Moth dies.

I don't know if I just really fail at these falcosaur specific family quests, or what, but I can't get this one to work either (had a problem with All Pets go to Heaven and Snowfeather the other night).

The scorched earth kills Abyssius in the back line, and Curse of Doom DOESN"T kill the Mana Wyrmling due to the magic racial. This has happened multiple times now. I get to the moth with my falcosaur at about 30% health to the moth's 80+%, and the moth two shots the falcosaur. I NEVER get off a second meteor strike from Abyssius. . I will keep trying, but I wanted to share my experience.
